Christian A. Thomas, M.D.

Dr. Thomas received his medical degree from the Goethe University Medical School at the University of Frankfurt, Frankfurt, Germany in 1986. From 1986 to 1989 he trained in internal medicine, infectious disease and microbiology at the Armed Forces Hospital in Hamburg, Germany and at the Goethe University Hospital in Frankfurt, Germany. Dr. Thomas completed his internal medicine residency and fellowships in hematology and medical oncology at Columbia University, Presbyterian Medical Center in New York in 1999.

Prior to his clinical training, Dr. Thomas served as a postdoctoral research fellow at the Department of Physiology and Cellular Biophysics at Columbia University in New York from 1990 to 1994. Dr. Thomas became a member of the American Board of Internal Medicine in 1997 and was board certified in medical oncology in 1999 and in hematology in 2000. He currently holds a position as Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Vermont.
